Yay! It's Friday and I'm very excited about this weekend. First, my youngest child's birthday is tomorrow. He's going to be 14. I can't believe that. How did that happen already? Not sure how it happened but it did so we'll be celebrating tomorrow. I'm also excited about the Super Bowl even though I don't really like either team in the game. Oh well, we always have lot of yummy snacks so I'm looking forward to that. And finally, the reason to be excited for Friday is Jodie's FREEBIE FRIDAY! Today she's giving away this new character from her new GIRLZ line:

Tutorial Day at Bugaboo

If you were reading this blog back in August, you saw my tutorial on how to color denim using the super cute Sean. I'm using that same image to show you how I color skin. First, the markers I use:
R00,E000, E00, E02, E95
Start by going around the edge of the face with R00:

Then, using the E02, go over the darker parts of the face, like around the bangs, in the ears:

Then color around the areas already colored and into the main part of the face using E00, leaving the center blank:

Next, go over the white space and blend into the rest of the face using E000:

If you want to add color to the cheeks, color small circles on the face with E95:

Blend with E00 to finish it off:

Homecoming Challenge

Today's challenge at Catch the Bug is "Homecoming Dance" what does that mean, you ask? Well, don't worry. It only means that you have to make a card using your school colors. Phew. My high school colors were red, white and blue and my college colors were blue and white. So, I left out the red and went with blue and white which freed me up to make a snowman card (yay!)

Think back to what your school colors were and make a card to enter into our challenge. Can't wait to see what you create!

Stamptacular Challenge

Today I have the pleasure of playing along with the Stamptacular design team for their challenge. Today's challenge is being sponsored by Bugaboo so you can play along for the chance to win some fabulous new Bugaboo images.
The challenge at Stamptacular is to try something new. I know I tend to get in cardmaking ruts, using the same layouts, embellies, etc. so this challenge forced me to learn something new. I decided to try making a double z fold card using the Bugaboo Thanksgiving Bobblehead Scarecrow image:
