A Simple Card

The challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts is a KISS challenge...KeepItSimpleSweetie. Well, that's generally not a problem for me because I think almost all of my cards fall into the "simple" category. I combined this challenge with Cute Card Thursday which was to make a card for a little boy and the Our Creative Corner challenge which was to use the colors cocoa, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie and white. I got this image from Elizabeth Dulemba. There are lots of free images on her site so go check it out.

Just Buggin Challenge # 13 -Sew It

The challenge this week at Just Buggin is to use sewing on your creation. Thankfully FAKE sewing is allowed because that's about the only kind of sewing I can do. Since it's a Just Buggin' challenge, you have to use a Cricut cutout somewhere on your card. I hope you'll join the challenge this week! You have until December 1st to post your creation.

I used this super cute image from Dustin Pike. I used my Doodlecharms cartridge to cut the brown heart at 1 inch and the pink heart at .75 inch. My "sewing" was done with a white gel pen.

Christmas Stocking Giftcard Holder

This week the challenge at the Cupcake Craft Challenge is to make a gift card holder. Riley from the Color Dare made this super cute gift card holder. You can find the template here. It's super easy and I think it's super cute. I used the colors from this week's SPCC Color Challenge which were hunter, kraft, celery and vanilla. Deanne, if you're reading this please notice the button with the twine tied through it. :)

Copic Color Challenge & Throwdown

Today I combined the Copic Colour Challenge with the colors from the Color Throwdown. The Copic challenge is to use E29,YR16 and G99. If you don't have these colors, use something close. I don't have YR16 so I used YR18. The colors from the Color Throwdown are Dusty Durango, Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive. I used this image from StretchNBubbles called "Free as a Bird".

Frosty the Snowman

Frosty the Snowman is one of my favorite Christmas movies. The Corrosive Challenge this week is to be insipired by a movie and the All Sorts challenge is to be inspired by a Christmas Song so I made this Frosty card to cover both of those challenges. This also works for the Papertake Weekly challenge and the Crafty Creations challenge which were both to make a Christmas card. I used the sketch from CPS Cardsketches and the colors from A Spoonful of Sugar which were brown and either pink or blue. I almost put "Happy Birthday" as the sentiment because that's what Frosty says when the kids put the hat on him and he comes to life. But...I thought the Happy Holidays would make for a more useful card.

The image is from Dustin Pike and I used my Copics, Swiss Dots and Snowflakes embossing folders. The sentiment is from the "Jolly Set" from Stamps and Smiles.
