I first saw this style of bookmark last summer but never took the time to sit down and figure out how to make them. Turns our they're super easy! This week Pals Paper Arts is challenging us to make anything but a card so I thought of this bookmark and I used the colors from The Playdate Cafe. which were turquois, brown and dusty pink. It also works for the Corrosive Challenge which is to make something having to do with a New Year's Resolution. I don't generally make resolutions but I do have a goal this year to read more. I used to read a lot until I found this hobby of crafting/cardmaking. Now, whenever I have sparetime, I'm crafting and haven't read a book in over a year. So I'm thinking I'll start slow and try to read one book before the end of March! If you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments section please!
Here is the bookmark by itself:
And here is how it fits on the corner of a book:

ReplyDeleteso cute~ and I love your wintry blog design!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great bookmark -- what a great idea! I'm in the middle of reading the book you gave me, Open, which is pretty good (if you're interested in Agassi at all). I've been terrible about reading too. I have about 5 books on my Kindle that are cued up for me to read. I did read a good book about beagles... See? No help!
