Tutorial Day at Bugaboo
If you were reading this blog back in August, you saw my tutorial on how to color denim using the super cute Sean. I'm using that same image to show you how I color skin. First, the markers I use:
R00,E000, E00, E02, E95
Start by going around the edge of the face with R00:
Then, using the E02, go over the darker parts of the face, like around the bangs, in the ears:
Then color around the areas already colored and into the main part of the face using E00, leaving the center blank:
Next, go over the white space and blend into the rest of the face using E000:
If you want to add color to the cheeks, color small circles on the face with E95:
Blend with E00 to finish it off:
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. I'd love for you to share your color combos for coloring skin-just let me know in the comments section.

Bugaboo Recipe Challenge
Are you ready for another Bugaboo Saturday Challenge? Well today we've got a good one for you. It's a recipe for you to follow, but don't worry, you have choices within the recipe so I think you'll be okay! Here you go:
Use the colors: pink, blue and red
AND
glitter OR flowersoft OR funflock
Does that have you thinking? Believe me, I know. I was stumped on this one until I picked up some glittery paper and white fun flock at my local Archivers. I used one of Jodie's adorable Marshmallow Snowmen:
See how the Fun Flock makes the snow all powedery looking AND how it makes the trim of his hat fluffy looking? I love this stuff! :)
I hope you'll play along with our challenge!

Today Bugaboo is sponsoring the CARD CUPIDS challenge. Card Cupids is a challenge that specializes in kid themed cards so Bugaboo is a perfect sponsor, don't you think? Today the theme is New Years and I used one of Jodie's AKV Birthday images:
I know it's a birthday image but it's also a celebrating image and people celebrate on New Years so I thought this made a kid friendly New Year's card. :)
Go check out Card Cupids challenge. You could win fabulous Bugaboo images this week.

Bugaboo Sponsors Sweet Sketch Wednesday
Hi everyone! Today I have the pleasure of playing along with the Sweet Sketch Wednesday crew in their challenge. Bugaboo is sponsoring this week so a couple of the DT got to play along with the Sweet Sketch team. Here is the sketch:
Despite the fact that we are just DAYS away from Christmas, I did NOT make a Christmas card. December also happens to be a big birthday month in my family so I thought a birthday card would be in order.
Now it's your turn to play along with Sweet Sketch Wednesday for your chance to win awesome Bugaboo images!

As November was obviously AKV Fall month, December is going to be a little more general theme of "Christmas". Original, I know. :) It will probably mostly be snowmen but I might throw in an occasional santa or something else. Today I'm jumping right in with a snowman:
How bout you do something similar and get a start on your Christmas cards? You'll be glad you did. While you're thinking about it, head over to the Catch the Bug Blog and see what the rest of the Bugaboo DT has created for you today.
