Cute and Cuddly-No Problem
The challenge this week at Pollycraft is to make a card with a Cute and Cuddly image. Well, the challenge there is deciding WHICH cute and cuddly image I want to use. You know I have a ton of them from Bugaboo and this little puppy floating away on his balloon is just one of them. There is a whole line of Critter Balloon images that you can pick up at Bugaboo and believe me, each one would qualify you for the Pollycraft challenge this week.

Not Doing So Well With These
Okay, so I bragged in my last post that I'm closing in on one hundred Christmas cards. I am excited about that but in the meantime, I've found myself sadly lacking in cards that I need more of and that I need more often through the year and that is THANK YOU cards. Seriously, I have five. I think I'll start a THANK YOU tally on my sidebar next. Luckily these adorable little Sewing Bears from Bugaboo have come to my rescue.

A Silly Little Sock Monkey
This adorable little sock monkey is just one of many you can find over at Bugaboo stamps. I used the sketch from Our Creative Corner Sketch challenge this week along with the theme from the Paper Cutz Challenge which was to use a monkey, skunk, hedgehog or squirrel.

New Paper and a Cute Image
And...wah lah...an adorable card. I picked this paper up the other day at Archivers, intending to use it for a totally different project. When I got home, I realized I didn't really like the paper with the image I had in mind to use so I used this one instead. It was double sided paper so I used the flip side for the Nestie cut out and the sentiment bar. I love how this card turned out. And yes, in case you doubted, this IS a Bugaboo image. This one is from the "Puppy Love" line and is called Envelope. How cute is this dog?? Remember...50% off sale through August 10th so go stock up on all the Bugaboo images that you've been wanting!

Vintage Tones...
I have to admit, I'm not a fan of the red, white and blue card. Despite that, I've made several this summer. I toned down the brightness on this one for the Friends Having Fun challenge. Red, white and blue is also the challenge at Digital Tuesday Challenge. I used this Bella image from Pixie Dust Studios and the sketch from CPS Card Sketches.

Thank You BEARY Much
I can't get enough of this little bear from Sassy Cheryl's. He's just TOO cute and you can use him for so many things. I checked my stash of cards and realized that I'm very short on Thank You cards so I'll be trying to make more of those in the coming days and weeks.

Last Post for the Day
Okay, I think this does it. This post catches me up on all the cards I've made but have not posted this week. I was saving my favorite for last. I love this image from Meljens. I love that you can color the flowers to match the paper you're using. This is another piece of paper from the Basic Grey Lemonade collection. I think I need more of this!

Happy Gilmore or Caddyshack?
I couldn't decide which golf movie I wanted to use as my inspiration for this card. The challenge this week at Teddy Stampers is to be inspired by a movie and of course, use a teddy bear image on your card. I love this image from Di's Digi Downloads....just one of many MANY adorable ones to choose from.

Just a Cute Thank You Bear
This super cute bear is from Meljens designs.

You can't tell from this picture (or any of the other pictures I tried to take to show this) but the entire image is covered in Glimmer Mist. Pearl Glimmer Mist to be exact. I picked up my first bottle of this awesome stuff yesterday at Archiver's. I'm bummed that you really can't tell how shimmery it is but it looks cool in person.
Challenges:
Colour Create: baby pink and pastel blue
Charisma Cardz: flowers
Meljens: dry embossing
Just Cute Bears: thank you card (and a bear, of course!)
Eat Sleep Stamp: sketch
Paperplay Challenge: flowers and sparkle

Big Surprise Bear
Big Surprise Bear is the latest image from Faith at Designed to Delight. You still have time to go get him, make something with him by 11:59 pm on Thursday and you AUTOMATICALLY get next week's image for free
I played along with the challenge this week at Crafty Cardmakers which was to do something to the inside of the card too. I NEVER do that so while this isn't much that I did with the inside, it's waaaay more than I usually do!

Just a Cute Thank You Bear
This adorable little bear is from Meljen's. I used him for this week's Just Cute Bears challenge which was to make a multifold card...basically anything other than your typical card. I chose to make a gatefold card. I used this image because the Meljen's challenge is all about flowers and blooms and I thought this guy was perfect for that. I'm also going to enter it in the Bugaboo Flower Power challenge.

More Flowers
I know, it's been flower overload here this past week. I can't help it...I love flowers and it so easy to use them on cards...images, embellishments, papers...they're everywhere. Here's my latest addition to my flower themed stamps and it's from the digi stamp boutique. Just a simple vase with flowers but it's SO pretty.

Bugaboo-Just in Time
Phew...I think I got this card completed in time for the Bugaboo challenge which I think ends tonight or tomorrow. The challenge this time is a sketch. If you use a Bugaboo image, you get two chances to win some awesome Bugaboo stamps!

I got to use two things I picked up at the convention a couple of weeks ago..the baby pom pom fringe (LOVE THAT!) and one of the Prima flowers that I got in a BIG tube of Primas!

Meet Bootsie
This is Bootsie. He's one of the many adorable images you can get from the Digi Doodle Shop. I was the lucky random winner of the Digi Doodle Shops Challenge last week and I chose this adorable guy as my prize. NOW, the disclaimer, I will not regularly be coloring Bootsie orange. Nope...that was kind of a stretch for me because I was playing along with the Colour Create challenge which was to use burnt orange, black and cream and I thought Bootsie would look good kind of rusty colored but obviously, I didn't quite have the right color Copics for the job! Next time you see Bootsie on this blog, he'll be a nice, safe brown!

Challenges:
Colour Create: burnt orange, black and cream...optional to use checks

A CASEd Card
Okay so the challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges this week is to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of the DT's cards. I chose a super cute card by Mercy Kerin...WOW is she talented! I loved her design on this card and the colors she used. I used a different lion image (from Meljens) and a different color scheme...I guess that was my "selectively edit" part.

Here's a closeup of the lion's face and mane...can you see that I glittered the whole thing with my Spica pen? I also Stickled the ears and paws.

Challenges:
Crazy for Challenges: CASE the DT
Copic Color Create: B02, BV02 and YG 03 (I actually HAD all these colors!)
ABC Challenge: Thank You
Sew Many Cards: Anything Goes
Crafts and Me: Sparkle
I Love Digi: Thank You

Learn Something New Every Day..
Like today, for example, I was playing along in a couple of challenges that are asking us to use Red and White this week, in honor of St. George's Day in England. I had no idea what St. George's Day was about so I looked it up this morning and found out that St. George is England's Patron Saint and that St. George's Day is England's National Day. Now I know. The article I read also said that St. George is always depicted with a dragon so now I wish I would have used one of my Dustin Pike Dragon images...but, maybe next year. :)
The image I did use is from Paper Cupcakes and it's called "You Melt my Heart". I just won it yesterday so I was excited to use it.

Challenges:
One Stitch at a Time: Thank You card
Incy Wincy: Use black, white and one other color
There's Magic in the Air: Recipie challenge: 4x4 card, no dp, 1 ribbon, 1 type of embellie and a Paper Cupcakes image
Rosie Dee: Red and White
Cupcake Craft: Red and White
