Happy Anniversary

Later this month, my husband and I will celebrate 19 years of marriage. The time sure has flown. I'm sure we'll still feel that way when we're as old as Stella and Gus are. Stella and Gus, by the way, are from Bugaboo Stamps and there are more funny images and sentiments to be found over there so go take a look. I love the sentiment for this one!
Photobucket
In case you can't read it, the sentiment says "I love being married. It's great to find that one special person you can annoy for the rest of your life"
I made this card for five challenges- four of which I've never played along with before so that's kind of fun. I made another recessed window card-have to say I'm really liking that technique!
Create for Fun: black, white and one other color (I chose pink since that was the color of our bridesmaid's dresses.)
Speedy the Cat: buttons and bows
Stamptacular Sunday: Wedding or Anniversary
Sundays with Chrissy: relish to embellish
Pile it On: Quirky

Try Not to Fall Over

From the shock, that is. The shock of me making another Christmas card without snowmen! This cute little bear is from Cuddly Buddly and I tried something totally new for me, the recessed window card and, as the Bah Humbug challenge called for, I used acetate. So really, two new things in one card. I stamped the snowflakes on the acetate with opaque Staz On and colored the image with Copics. I also found a couple of other Christmas challenges this week and I know, for me at least, the idea isn't to combine Christmas challenges because I want to have a lot of Christmas cards at the end of the year. But, this card fit a couple of them so I went ahead and entered this card in those challenges too. Next week, I'm making separate cards for all the Christmas challenges.

I played along with the ABC Christmas challenge which is L for lights this week. I don't know who this image is from so if you recognize it, could you please let me know so I can give proper credit. THANK YOU!

This super cute bear is from Meljens designs.

I picked up my first bottle of this awesome stuff yesterday at Archiver's. I'm bummed that you really can't tell how shimmery it is but it looks cool in person.

Colour Create: baby pink and pastel blue
Charisma Cardz: flowers
Meljens: dry embossing
Just Cute Bears: thank you card (and a bear, of course!)

Summer Fun

Doesn't this image from KahWinkE Dink conjur up all kinds of childhood memories of splashing around in your backyard blow up (or hard plastic) pool? I not only remember my own kids doing this but I remember doing it myself as a child, until we got a "real" pool when I was a little bit older. Best Buds

I was very happy to win third place (by Random draw) in the Bugaboo challenge last week! I got to choose two images which, if you've looked at Bugaboo's images, you know is an impossible task. How do you narrow down all that cuteness to just two choices??? :) But, I was up to the task and one of the images I chose was this cutie called "Best Buds" from the Bugaboo Brats line.
