My daughter Katie turns 13 tomorrow. I can't believe it. You know when you have a baby everyone tells you to enjoy the time because it goes so fast. Well, they weren't kidding. It feels like time is just zooming by and my sweet little baby girl is now A TEENAGER! Well, she will be tomorrow anyway. So I made this card for her using the Easel technique which I think is perfect for Katie because she keeps all her cards and she can easily display this one if she can find room on her desk or dresser. :)
I used two of her favorite colors: lime green and pink and this cupcake image from
StretchNBubbles. I stickled the cherry on top with Cotton Candy Stickles because Katie hates red so I couldn't make it an actual cherry without "ruining" the card! :)
There aren't too many challenges posted this week because of the holidays but as I was looking around I found these challenges that this card fits into:
Cupcake Craft Challenge: make a card for a celebration
Our Creative Corner: food or drink on your card
Rosie Dee Challenge: anything you want
One Stop Craft Challenge: Use something recycled (the button)
