A Tri-fold Card

The challenge this week at Cardmaker Cardswap is to make a tri-fold card. I haven't made one of these in a long time so it was fun to do something different. I used an image from Dustin Pike which I colored with my Copics. For the Cuttlebug Challenge I made it a winter theme and used one of my embossing borders. The buttons make it work for the All Sorts challenge.

Stretch N Bubbles-Mitten

It's getting colder outside...heck, you may already have snow where you live. Perfect time for Alison to release this cute little mitten image. I made the image about 3.5 inches high when I printed it but you could make it much smaller and make a cute mitten border for your card or scrapbook layout. You don't have to be limited with digi images. Go check out StretchNBubbles and see all the awesome images Alison has...some of them free! You won't be disappointed.

Two Just for Fun Cards

I made these two cards with images from Elizabeth Dulemba. Not for any challenges and not for anyone in particular but just because I thought the images were cute and I wanted to use them.
PhotobucketPhotobucket
Elizabeth has a lot of cute images available so go check out her site.

A Simple Card

The challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts is a KISS challenge...KeepItSimpleSweetie. Well, that's generally not a problem for me because I think almost all of my cards fall into the "simple" category. I combined this challenge with Cute Card Thursday which was to make a card for a little boy and the Our Creative Corner challenge which was to use the colors cocoa, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie and white. I got this image from Elizabeth Dulemba. There are lots of free images on her site so go check it out.

Just Buggin Challenge # 13 -Sew It

The challenge this week at Just Buggin is to use sewing on your creation. Thankfully FAKE sewing is allowed because that's about the only kind of sewing I can do. Since it's a Just Buggin' challenge, you have to use a Cricut cutout somewhere on your card. I hope you'll join the challenge this week! You have until December 1st to post your creation.
Photobucket
I used this super cute image from Dustin Pike. I used my Doodlecharms cartridge to cut the brown heart at 1 inch and the pink heart at .75 inch. My "sewing" was done with a white gel pen.

Christmas Stocking Giftcard Holder

This week the challenge at the Cupcake Craft Challenge is to make a gift card holder. Riley from the Color Dare made this super cute gift card holder. You can find the template here. It's super easy and I think it's super cute. I used the colors from this week's SPCC Color Challenge which were hunter, kraft, celery and vanilla. Deanne, if you're reading this please notice the button with the twine tied through it. :)

Copic Color Challenge & Throwdown

Today I combined the Copic Colour Challenge with the colors from the Color Throwdown. The Copic challenge is to use E29,YR16 and G99. If you don't have these colors, use something close. I don't have YR16 so I used YR18. The colors from the Color Throwdown are Dusty Durango, Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive. I used this image from StretchNBubbles called "Free as a Bird".
Photobucket

Frosty the Snowman

Frosty the Snowman is one of my favorite Christmas movies. The Corrosive Challenge this week is to be insipired by a movie and the All Sorts challenge is to be inspired by a Christmas Song so I made this Frosty card to cover both of those challenges. This also works for the Papertake Weekly challenge and the Crafty Creations challenge which were both to make a Christmas card. I used the sketch from CPS Cardsketches and the colors from A Spoonful of Sugar which were brown and either pink or blue. I almost put "Happy Birthday" as the sentiment because that's what Frosty says when the kids put the hat on him and he comes to life. But...I thought the Happy Holidays would make for a more useful card.
Photobucket
The image is from Dustin Pike and I used my Copics, Swiss Dots and Snowflakes embossing folders. The sentiment is from the "Jolly Set" from Stamps and Smiles.

An Exciting Announcement-and BLOG CANDY

Today I'm super excited to announce that Alison at StretchNBubbles has asked me to be a designer for her awesome digi images! I know you've all heard me rave about Alison's images and if you go check out her blog, you'll agree that they are fabulous and fun to work with. So is Alison! Here's a little bit about her so you can get to know the woman behind these adorable images:
I have to tell you. When I first asked Lori to be on my Digi Stamp Design Team, I was so nervous. I hate rejection, and I was stalking the computer all day. I am so lucky, and blessed that she said YES! She has been such a joy to work with. About me? Where to start..
I have a wonderful husband who I love and cherish. HE is AMAZING!!! We have two beautiful children. Stretch who is 9 years old and Bubbles who is 15 months old… that’s where I got my blog name.
Stretch N’ Bubbles. The names came from my dad.. Poppie who gives each of the grandchildren “magic names” after they are born. so those are their magic names and we love them...

I have been crafting all my life. Ever since I can remember I have made/created things.I really started “Scrapbooking/Card making” in 1996 when my dear friend Lisa Bearnson introduced to her new magazine Creating Keepsakes.. after that I was HOOKED!.. I do both scrapbooking and card making.. I enjoy each for different but similar reasons. I love to create, design, and do anything with my hands.. I have never taken any kind of art class (though I should have) but I have just started my love for Digi Stamps. I have found I have a special place in my heart for drawing, and if I can share them in the process. I am happy to do that..
I have been published in many magazines, worked for Creating Keepsakes as a designer for products sold on QVC (still do occasionally), and won many contests. I am truly excited to be starting this new adventure with Lori on my Digi Stamp design team. She is so talented, creative, and such a sweet person. She has inspired me in so many ways. I have had such a fun time getting to know her. I feel like we have been kindred spirit friends our whole lives.

I hope to inspire you with some of my designs. I can’t wait to meet and be inspired by each and every one of you.

I've made lots of cards with Alison's images but this is my first as an official part of her team. It's funny, it has all my favorite cardmaking ingredients: a digital image, colored with Copics, embossing and of course a bow (tied with my Bow Easy!) I promise not all the cards I make with Alison's images will use this formula! :) I'm really looking forward to working with Alison. She's super sweet and amazingly talented. I hope you'll love her work as much as I do. When you head over to check out Alison's images you can also find out how to win her AMAZING blog candy. You get one chance for being a follower of my blog so if you aren't already, sign up as a follower today.
